THE RED CAST

Today we learned that Charlotte's ankle was indeed broken. We went in to get her cast today. It's going to have to stay on for 3 weeks. During that time, we now need to keep watch over her to make sure that due to the size of the cast, that she doesn't hurt her hip.

Through it all Charlotte has been a trouper, no doubt about it! She has been in a very good mood and is still crawling, albeit it little slower. The good news is that the injury will not affect her in the future nor will it slow her down when it comes to her learning to walk!

We feel very fortunate that she is ok! Thank you to everyone who has commented to us on the previous posting with our reenactment! Melissa and I couldn't decide if we would be bad parents by posting it, or if everyone would also see humor as a way of coping with the stress of the situation.

It didn't take long for Charlotte to notice the cast, but she hasn't (yet) tried to remove it like she does her socks and shoes.


Those little piggies reminded me of a product shot of a burrito with little chicken strips. Maybe it was just because I was hungry!

Chili Dog was happy to see Charlie crawling on the floor!
