Trip to West Virgina to see the family

I decided to change jobs in April, and took advantage of the time before stating with the new employer to drive up to West Virginia with Charlotte to see some family who had never met Charlie before!

We stayed at my father's house and I was able to introduce Charlotte to her Great Aunts Annabelle & Jackie, and her cousins Kelly and Genie on her Grand Dad's side of the family! Charlotte was also able to meet her Great Aunt Judy and Great Uncle Rod, her cousin Halley and her mom and Dad John and India.

Charlie's Aunt Kiena, Uncle Dan and cousins Carys, Greer and Grant also made the trip down from Pennsylvania to see us for a couple of days!

A few random early spring photos

2nd Birthday

Charlotte's 2nd birthday was a blast! Melissa did a great job with the cupcakes! She made them in ice cream cones, which made it easy for the kiddies and the grown up to devour the cakes without all the mess! Plus, Mel has these really cute cake appliques made that sported a cartoon picture of our little gal! They tasted good too!!!

Charlotte had two parties - the first was at her sitter, Chris's house with all of her other two year old friends. We made them call little gift bags and good times had by all! The second party with at the house with her family close by.

Happy Birthday, Charlotte!

First Hair Cut

Somehow I missed posting these photos of Charlotte's first hair cut - which happened back in December ... only FIVE MONTHS late on these.

We were very impressed with how the Kid's Salon was set up. On the toddler side, they had a Thomas the Train, a Barbie Car and a Hummer for the seats. In front of each was a TV that was playing Nick Jr, Sprout and the like. Each station was also equipped with animal crackers, cheesy poofs and Cheerios. The stylist was super nice and EXTREMELY patient. Charlotte on the other hand was none too pleased with the situation! The lollipop provided only a brief moment of serenity.

Valentine's Day 2011

Holy cow ... I'm only THREE MONTHS BEHIND with our updates! I hope to get things updated here within the next few days. In the meantime, here are some photos of Charlotte with her Valentine's Day balloon.

Snow Day!!

Today, most of metro Atlanta was covered in snow and ice. While we only received about an 1" in snow, the areas just north of us got anywhere between 4" to 10" ... IN GEORGIA!! The one thing that everyone got their fair share of was ice - and lots of it! Many roads were closed and we stayed home from work. In between taking turns working from home and watching Charlotte, Melissa and I thought that we should get little Charlie out in the snow and ice for a few minutes. Sadly, we don't have a sled, but we improvised using a laundry basket and a bungee cord!

Christmas 2010 ... our 2nd!!

Charlotte's 2nd Christmas was another great time for our little babe! She has had a great time playing with ALL of her gifts, but currently favoring her new Brobee backpack (character from Yo Gabba Gabba) and her fire engine red trike. She is also her new art project desk that just her size!

Cousin Lauren with her American Girl doll and Santa Wrigley.

No Santa is complete without their out-of-scale Rudolph!

Charlotte always asks me to "col-lauw" with her. I can't resist the opportunity!

We lucky enough to have a little snow on Christmas Day!

Tell me, how cute is this?!

It was Charlotte's first snow fall, so Melissa had to show her how to catch snow flake on her tongue!
