Hello to you all!
Melissa and I have set up this blog to share photos and our stories about the birth of our first child, Charlotte Reese Nutter. With family and friends far and wide, we wanted to create a space accessible to all. Our goal is to update this space every few days, so please check back in with us often, and please feel free to leave your comments! We are both very excited and nervous, as first time parents are!
Melissa is at 34 weeks and we just had an ultrasound last Tuesday. The baby is almost 6lbs! Everything seems to check out ok and it appears that we are on our way to have a healthy baby girl!

Check out these photos from the 3D ultrasound! Our little girl is going to have some CHEEKS, eh? Speaking personally, my heart nearly thumped out of my chest when I first saw these on the screen in the doctor's office! I've felt so much love for someone I've yet to meet!
Some of you know that Melissa and I have been trying to have a baby for over a year. To be this far along feels like a miracle to me. I truly can not wait to meet this girl for the first time!

Folks have been asking us for the past few months "are you ready?" My answer is usually "I'm not sure." We are almost finished the nursery (still need to put the mobile up, window treatments and wall decor) and we have a play yard, stoller, etc. We have been asked several times what our colors and theme for the nursery is, so without further adieu, here are some photos. People often looked confused when we said that we were going to have a slight Asian theme and a BLACK crib. I think folks thought that it may be to ominous. We think it works ... Please feel free to share your thoughts!

I like the asian inspired nursery. Who did the drawing on the wall? My friends call me "ecru" because I love the color beige. I love your wall color. I suggest some window treatments. Leah had her days and nights mixed up for a few weeks (she was born around 1am). It helped having a shade and drapes to block the light. Otherwise, beautiful! I like the name Charlotte!!! Not because I live in a town with the same name, but it's a romantic name. Sophisticated but girlie all the same! The ultra sound photos are precious. Is that the 4D?? Congrats!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I just learned of the "Devin, Melissa and Baby Charlotte"'s site!
ReplyDeleteI am honored to be Charlotte's Grandma Nutter. Her Daddy, Devin, had a wonderful Grandma Nutter. I pray that I can be as special to Baby Charlotte as she is to me and that I will be as wonderful a Grandma for her, as Devin's Grandma Nutter was for him.
I am so happy!

... sorry, Charlotte, ... my comment signature was supposed to be displayed as: Grandma Nutter / Mom / Brenda ...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful name and room! Love the Fat Albert reference!
ReplyDeleteI hope baby Charlotte never sees the photo of her as a Fat Albert gang member.
ReplyDeleteGood grief! You put a mask on the most beautiful child in the world! Her grandmother and I are looking forward to this birth with great anticipation and can't wait for her to be here so we can start spoiling her. Sometimes she can stay at your house too, but not often! Peanut will be a princess! Grandmom and Grandad Borrelli

ReplyDeleteEvery morning, I'm more excited!
Wow! 4-D ultrasounds are awesome! She is beautiful! I like the nursery theme. It's definately original, and babies like the contrast of colors. I hope your little critters don't become possesive of babies things! They might start getting the wrong idea and think it's all for them! ; )
ReplyDeleteYou ultra sound was excellent. Not sure about the fat albert reference, very funny, always wondered what that characters name was. Love the nursery very tranquil. Look forward to meeting charlotte and devin.
