More Photos of Charlotte!!

While I was home from work with Melissa and Charlotte on paternity leave, I couldn't help from taking as many photos as I could of our little treasure. Now that I am back at work, I miss spending time with my two lovely ladies. I have been pulling up the pictures that I've taken over the last two weeks to help me feel closer to home.

Everyone tells us that "they grow up fast," and I could not agree more! During her first two weeks in this world, I have seen Charlotte change on a daily basis. From subtle changes in her face, to noticing that she is becoming more aware of her surroundings by the day. It is truly amazing to see these developments!

Here are some random photos from the last week or so, including shots from Charlie's first bath! I know that I'm partial (and biased), but this little girl is so beautiful! What can I say ... she has me wrapped around her little finger! Actually, that goes for Charlotte's Momma, Melissa too!! I love the both of you, very much!

Flowers

While we were all in the hospital with Charlotte, we received some beautiful flowers from our friends! Melissa and I thought that these flowers were so pretty that we should share them with all of you!

I believe that gifts of beauty should be shared. That being said, here is a photo of the two most beautiful gifts in my life!

Charlotte is home!

We brought Charlotte home for the first time on Saturday, March 7. We have all been adapting well. The dogs and cats are very curious about our little Charlie, but they have all accepted her as part of the family. Charlotte's sleep schedule is still adjusting so Melissa and I have decided to take shifts through the night. We each take 4 hour shifts of watching over, feeding and changing Charlotte while the other one sleeps until it's time to trade off. It's been working well so far!

Since coming home, we've been lucky enough to be eating some great food that our loved ones have given us. Very thoughtful, helpful and tasty!!

Melissa's family have been over a few times to love on and help us out with Charlotte. It will be a few weeks until any of my family can make it down, but Charlotte, Melissa and I are really looking forward to when they come down!

Charlotte's cousin Lauren decided to come over with her parents Dickie and Dawn Borrelli to visit. Lauren wanted to help out by giving Charlotte one of her meals. Is it me, or do I see a future in baby sitting here?

Since the weather was nice, Melissa and I had the idea of taking Charlotte outside and taking some photos of her laying on a white blanket. Here are the results!

Our Charlie Angel is here!!

Here are the first two photos of Charlotte's first moments in this world. She was born at 1:55 PM today weighing in at 6 lbs 8 oz and measuring 19.5" long. Melissa and I so happy, proud and in love with our beautiful daughter.
Thank you to all of you who sent us your prayers and well wishes! We love you all!

...More photos to come, gang!!

Update ... Here are three more photos ...

I just read the Dr. Seuss book, Oh, Baby, the Places You'll Go! to Charlotte for perhaps the last time while she is sitll in utero. Tonight may be the last time she hears "my voice burble-urps in her ear with a bump thumpy sound that's not very clear." The next time I get to read to her, she will be in my lap!! I can not wait!
